he midterm exams for the summer term are scheduled for July 8 -10, 2019 in the CSU calendar.  The exam for CPSC 6126 needs proctoring. You have two options for proctoring:

Option 1. Take the exam on July 9  from 10am to 11:15am in CCT 407 when it is proctored by me. You need to email me and let me know if you are taking this option by June 23rd.

Option 2. Take the exam at the day and time of your choice between  July 8 at 12am and July 10 at 11:30pm. You will need to arrange and possibly pay for proctoring for this option. Read the information and follow the instructions at https://cool.columbusstate.edu/proctoringinfostudents.php to  see the options for proctoring, their prices, and how to arrange for proctoring with them.  You need to make arrangements for proctoring and let me know which online proctoring services you will be using by June 23rd.

The midterm will cover all material covered until July 8 including your readings from the text and other resources, discussions, and labs. I will post sample questions for the exam at the end of this week. In the exam you will be allowed to bring a cheat sheet (a letter paper) with your notes on front and back (handwritten or typed).

Good afternoon,

Please read the complete text. Action is required in order to take proctored exams.

Your instructor is requiring your Final Exam to be proctored. This means that you must be observed while you test.  If you choose to test face-to-face with your instructor at the time and date specified, you do not have to register for proctoring.

Registering to take a proctored exam: The registration process for proctored exams is a two-step process. You will have to complete both steps regardless of which proctor you choose.

Step 1: Select your proctor and schedule an appointment to take your exam. Preferred proctors include:

  1. Proctor U - https://www.proctoru.com/portal/columbusstate

  2. The CSU Testing Center - https://testing.columbusstate.edu/csuonline.php

  3. A testing center at college or university in your area

  4. A public library that offers proctoring services

Step 2: Submit your Online Proctoring Form to CSU's Center of Online Learning.

The form is located in your MyCSU account under Home - Forms & Surveys.

This form is mandatory and should be submitted no later than five business days before your exam date to avoid late fees.

Additional Info: Please be aware that proctoring is not free at most locations. Proctoring fees vary by proctor site. Some public libraries offer services for free but you should expect to pay $20 -$50 per test, depending on your location.
