 This module focuses on digital signatures and public key infrastructure (PKI) including digital certificates and certificates authorities. 

 Module Objectives

By the end of this module you should be able to:

•  explain how private and public keys are used  for creating and verifying  digital signatures. 
• explain how hash functions are used in digital signatures.
•  explain the role of digital certificates and certificate authorities in secure communications. 
•  illustrate how digital signatures work using freely available software
